Morgan was one of the actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention as well as education. Some of the proceeds were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising initiatives and gave a testimony at a special Congressional panel on AIDS awareness. She sits on the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon-general of Canada, has asked that she replace him on occasions at AIDS related events. She also hosted the AIDS Awareness Special along with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have been on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for the special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. The spring, she starred with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. She then began her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. The show also featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next part of her film took her to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast in the roles of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also on the set. Morgan has also been the only actress to appear in the USA Network's psychological suspense-thriller and earned most impressive ratings the network has ever had.
